Epping to Chatswood Tunnel
Sydney,
Australia
This section of the rail tunnel passed through a national park and was originally proposed as a bridge. Due to community concerns they decided to tunnel below the national park. Cut and cover was the proposed method as the tunnel roof was just below the river bed.
- Constructed in three stages and three separate sections, the base, the walls and the roof.
