Due to Christchurch closure impacting the need to restructure the Auckland Logistics operation, a new role has risen to provide vital support to NZ Sales and effectively oversee Logistics operations in the Auckland office.

About the job

Reporting to the NZ Sales Manager, with a dotted line to the National Logistics Manager in Sydney, the Sales and Logistics Officer will be in charge of Sales support and lead the logistics team on delivering outstanding results.

 

Your contribution to the team includes

  • Provide administrative assistance to the Sales team, producing quotation letters, reports, sales support materials, filling, tender form completion and any other general ad hoc tasks
  • Works closely with internal teams to solve problems and respond to customer requests and questions. Ensure products are dispatched on time
  • Liaise with the sales team, contractors, engineers and logistics Yard staff throughout the project from initial contact to post-completion customer service
  • Maintain quotes and sales databases to ensure consistent and timely monitoring of projects
  • Utilise the use of PERI related sales management systems such as PERIAN and Pipe drive
  • Take telephone enquiries from current and prospective customers. Handling initial enquiries and proactively making outbound follow up calls regarding the status of pending projects
  • Reviewing and processing of orders
  • Managing stock availability
  • Lead the annual stock take
  • Processing of stock returns and transfers
  • Scheduling of transport
  • Liaising with Australian branches
  • Processing of freight invoices
  • Cross-training if required (either/or training or being trained)
  • Participate in the development and implementation of a safe and healthy workplace. Comply with WHS legislations, code of practice, policies and procedures. Take reasonable care to ensure your own health and safety and that of others in the workplace
  • Other duties and tasks as assigned

 

What you will need to be short-listed

  • 3 years’ experience Sales and Logistics Admin function
  • Strong attention to detail and accurate Data Entry skills
  • Experience using MS office Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Good knowledge of PERI’s internal systems and processes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Professional and mature attitude, highly organised and able to prioritise 
  • Proactive and takes the initiative; possess a strong sense of urgency required in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent team player, willing to do what it takes to get the job done
